Nominations Being Accepted for 2007 ACMA Executive Board
In 2007, there will be three seats open on the ACMA Board of Directors. The ACMA Annual Business Meeting will be scheduled to take place at the Winter Conference in Sedona. As stated in the ACMA by-laws, a nominating committee has been selected to recommend a slate of ACMA Executive Board members for consideration by the membership at the business meeting.
 
The Nominating Committee is charged with recommending a president-elect and one director for a two-year term. The ACMA by-laws require officers to be elected for staggered two-year terms. In addition, the Chair of the Associates' Committee is tasked with nominating a new chairperson, who will serve as a director with voting privileges on the board.
 
The Executive Board members that are scheduled to remain on the board in 2007 to fulfill their terms are: Mary Jacobs, Sierra Vista, President; Gayle Mabery, Clarkdale, President-Elect; Bill Pupo, Chino Valley, Director; Mike Reuwsaat, Director; George Pettit, Gilbert, Director; Pam Kavanaugh, Glendale, Director: Steve Peru, Coconino County, Director.
 
If you are interested in serving on the Executive Board, please indicate your desire to the Nominating Committee through a letter that explains why you are interested in serving. Letters to the committee should be sent to President Mary Jacobs, c/o Amy Price, Member Services Associate, 1820 W. Washington St., Suite 200; Phoenix, AZ 85007. Letters of interest may also be e-mailed to aprice@azleague.org. Please note that nominees must have Active ACMA membership status. Letters should be received by ACMA no later than Friday, December 8, 2006.
 
Members of ACMA will be notified of the nominees recommended by the Nominating Committee thirty days prior to the annual business meeting. Additional nominees may be placed on the ballot by a petition signed by at least five Active members and filed with the Nominating Committee by Friday, January 31, 2007. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor during the annual business meeting.
