ACMA Board Fills Vacant Seat
November 17, 2006 the Executive Board nominated and approved the appointment of David Garcia to ACMA's Executive Board of Directors. David Garcia, County Administrator of Yuma County, was nominated to fill the vacancy on the board as a result of Steve Peru's resignation earlier this month.
 
Steve Peru, County Manager of Coconino County resigned from the board of directors earlier this November citing personal reasons. Mr. Garcia will carry out the remainder of Peru's term, which expires in 2008.
 
Garcia began his tenure as County Administrator in September 2003. Prior to his service in Yuma County, he served as City Manager in Corpus Christi, Deputy City Manger of the City of Phoenix, Deputy Administrator of the Los Angeles Redevelopment Agency and Director of Special Projects for the City of San Antonio, Texas.
 
Mr. Garcia received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, and his Masters of Science Degree from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.
