Member Profile: Lauren Krepitch
Management Assistant
Town of Queen Creek

Where are you originally from?
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA but grew up in the East Valley and attended Arizona State University.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in local government?
Local government is important as it helps preserve quality of life. Citizens work hard to afford and maintain their residences and deserve to live in a city, town, or county that upholds standards and codes to make living in that place worthwhile. My career in local government has allowed me to participate in these processes and I enjoy seeing the direct impact on citizens.

What do you like most about your job?
I like that as a Management Assistant I have the opportunity to work with a variety of divisions and departments within the Town to accomplish goals. I also have a lot of great co-workers!

What areas of local government interest you the most?
I think that it is interesting to see all of the areas of local government come together to form a functioning community. Working for the Community Development department in a growing Town, it is interesting to see neighborhoods and commercial projects grow from the ground up.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
The best piece of advice I have been given is to never assume. Situations can be perceived in many different ways; make sure to find the true explanation before creating judgments or assumptions.
