2007 Summer Conference Nears!
The Summer Conference Planning Committee chaired by Pam Kavanaugh, Assistant City Manager for the City of Glendale, met for the first time on Friday, April 27, 2007. This year's conference theme is "Commitment to Leadership: Your Community, Your Profession, Yourself."

This year's conference will begin bright and early on Wednesday, July 25 at 7:00 with the ACMA Golf Tournament. Lunch will be offered to all registrants at the Flying V restaurant from 12 noon-1:00pm.

Wednesday afternoon Patrick Ibarra of the Mejorando Group, and former city manager will kick-off the ACMA conference with his ideas on how to inject a sense of urgency towards enticing young people to the local government profession as he presents: The 21st Century: a New Era for Local Government Managers as Leaders.

On Thursday morning, keynote speaker David Rabiner, a partner in Rabiner Resources, will share his insights on effective leadership following his keynote presentation with a workshop on "Keeping the Public Trust." David Rabiner will provide participants a three-step process for turning the principles of effective leadership into personal virtues and you will also leave with specific ideas for building and maintaining confidence in public leadership and service delivery.
