How the Audioconference Works
After you register, you'll get an e-mail confirmation with your dial-in instructions, which includes a toll-free number. A few days prior to the audioconference, you'll receive an e-mail with a link to download the presentation materials, which you can copy for your entire staff.

On the day of the audioconference, dial into the toll-free number and listen in via speakerphone. In the last 30 minutes, you'll get a chance to ask the speakers questions directly.

About the Presenters
Martin Vanacour, Ph.D., CEO of Dynamic Relations, was the city manager of Glendale, Arizona, for 17 years. Today, he specializes in developing programs to improve relationships between elected and appointed officials. He is a nationally known speaker and workshop facilitator, and he consults with individual cities and counties regarding leadership development, team building, retreat facilitation, city manager evaluations, management improvements, and developing strategic goals. He's written several articles and contributed to the ICMA-National League of Cities training workbook, Working Together: A Guide for Elected and Appointed Officials. He recently wrote a chapter in the revised ICMA book, The Effective Local Government Manager, Third Edition.

Kathie Novak entered the office of mayor of Northglenn, Colorado, in January 2002, and was reelected to another four-year term at the November 1, 2005, election. She served for 10 years as a Northglenn city council member prior to her election as mayor. Kathie specializes in process facilitation, leadership development, management training, team building, and retreat facilitation. She also teaches at the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Colorado at Denver and at Regis University's School for Professional Studies. Kathie also contributed to the ICMA-National League of Cities training workbook, Working Together: A Guide for Elected and Appointed Officials.
