National Administrative Studies Project Announces Study
National Administrative Studies Project - IV is a groundbreaking study of city managers and department heads from local governments across the nation. While most academic research projects of this kind focus on the federal and state level, NASP-IV's exclusive focus is on local government. The NASP-IV project is led by Professor Sanjay K. Pandey (nasp@ku.edu; 785-864-1887 or 785-864-9091) from the University of Kansas (KU).

The survey seeks to develop knowledge on managing local governments. It asks questions on a number of themes that local government managers are interested in, such as the work environment, organizational rules, citizen participation, budgeting and decision-making, cooperation with other jurisdictions, and professional experiences.

Should the NASP project team from KU contact you, I encourage you to participate in the study. Knowing that you care about good local government, the NASP team will provide you a summary of findings once the study is completed.
