Where are you originally from?
I am originally from Morgan Hill, California, 15 miles south of San Jose.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in local government?
I decided to pursue a career in local government in order to make a difference in the community. Local government decisions play a critical importance in the quality of our citizen's lives.

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy the variety of projects that I work on. I have learned a lot about the functions of all the departments within the City in the short time that I have been employed with the City of Sierra Vista. The people I work with are also great.

What areas of local government interest you the most?
I am most interested in Finance and Public Safety. The City operates based on finance and having a good understanding of the finances allows a person to have a good understanding of the entire city. The other area I am most interested in is Public Safety. Police and Fire keep us safe and make the City an enjoyable place to live.

As a local government professional, what accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of revamping the City's annual Budget Book. Additionally, I am very proud of the relationships that I have established since being employed with the City.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle. When I am not at work, I am doing whatever I can to be active outdoors. This ranges from hiking the beautiful Huachuca Mountains to road biking. I also enjoy spending time with my wonderful girlfriend Christina Potts.
