Member Profile: Jenna Goad
Intergovernmental Programs Coordinator
City of Glendale

Where are you originally from?
Phoenix, AZ.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in local government?
Having worked for the City of Phoenix during college and then pursuing a Masters of Public Administration, I knew I wanted to work in government. I believe local governments have the most impact on people's everyday lives and I wanted to work towards improving my community in a way that would impact people's lives on a daily basis.

What do you like most about your job?
I like being able to work on a wide variety of issues. One day its transportation, the next day its water resources or air quality.

What areas of local government interest you the most?
Analyzing public policies and understanding how state policies will affect local governments and their residents.

As a local government professional, what accomplishment are you most proud of?
The thorough analysis I have provided to help elected officials make informed policy decisions.

What are your hobbies?
My first hobby is spending time with my husband and our 3 year old dog Morgan. My other hobbies are cooking, travelling, and learning to do things around the house. My husband and I are currently landscaping the backyard and are doing all the work ourselves.
