ACMA 2012 Winter Conference
By Kathleen McAlpine, Co-Chair
Winter 2012 Conference Planning Committee

Have you ever had a truly amazing experience in collaboration during your tenure as a public service employee? Serving on the Conference Planning Committees for ACMA has been such an experience for me. I am writing to ask you to attend the ACMA 2012 Winter Conference this February 1 - 3, 2012, in Sedona. Come experience for yourself the value of this professional collaboration!

Have you thought about sharing the opportunity? Whether you have attended ACMA conferences in the past, or this might be your first, please consider joining us. Are there other professionals in your organization who would appreciate or benefit from the professional networking and development opportunities that are available through our Winter Conference? Where would you be if someone had not reached out to help nurture your career? Invite a colleague!

The planning committee has been hard at work! Look for a motivational keynote speaker, news from ICMA, information about the ICMA conference slated for Phoenix in October 2012, yoga (no sweating involved), professional development, and some amazing networking, all wrapped up with tasty food, interesting exhibits, and the beauty of the red rocks of Sedona.

Conference highlights include: Communicating Effectively with your Council, ICMA 2012 Update, Nonfatal Attraction -- Bringing Businesses to Arizona, Ask the Experts Part IV: Crisis Management, Working Together to Reduce Healthcare Costs, and some standing favs: the Legislative and Economic Updates and golf. To check out the details of the Winter 2012 Conference offerings point your browser here.

Just one last tempting thought, with the terrific room rate, you might be tempted to stay over and treat yourself to some of the tourist delights the Sedona area has to offer. Please join us as we come together to learn, grow, honor and celebrate with our Arizona colleagues in professional government management.
