ICMA China Center EcoPartnership Program
The ICMA China Center was selected in 2012 to be a member of the U.S. China EcoPartnerships for Environmental Sustainability program for the U.S. Department of State. The partnerships are cooperative relationships between U. S. and Chinese local governments that will work together to promote economic growth, energy security, and environmental sustainability. The program is now ready to take off.

ICMA China Center has identified eight Chinese towns to take part in the partnership program. They are all located close to the beautiful historic city of Yangzhou. Yangzhou is the site of the upcoming ICMA International Summit (May 11-15, 2014).

You can learn about the program on ICMA's Knowledge Network and by reading the article, "EcoPartnership Program Description." The description lists the eight Chinese towns that are involved in the program, has a link to the profiles of the Chinese towns, and links to the online application form. Town sizes range from 18,000 to 100,000. Each town has unique features that can be matched to interests in the environment, culture, religion, or economy.
