ACMA 2014 Summer Conference
By Katie Gregory
Conference Chair and Peoria Deputy Finance and Budget Director

The 2014 ACMA Summer Conference is just around the corner, and on behalf of the conference planning committee, we would like to invite you to join us at our newest location in Marana, AZ. This year's Summer Conference will be held at the Dove Mountain Resort, July 23-25, 2014. Come and embrace your spirit of adventure, and discover how easy it is to be inspired by the land revered by the Hohokam Indian inhabitants of centuries past.

Our association is a professional organization of over 280 members dedicated to increasing the knowledge and ability of city, town, and county managers, as well as other local government administrators. Our purpose is to strengthen the quality of local government in the state of Arizona through professional management, education, training, and the mutual exchange of information.

Our goal on the planning committee is to assemble together valuable educational sessions along with sufficient time for you to connect up with fellow colleagues, discuss key management issues, and assist us all in our joint goal of working with our communities, elected officials and our staff in providing the highest quality professional government.

ACMA has created a very strong foundation of leadership, service, and community that have benefited the quality of life for millions of Arizonans. The summer conference is an opportunity to demonstrate that we, like our predecessors, are as committed now as ever to exceptional professional local government. So, whether you are looking to learn, network or give back to your profession, I invite you to come and join together to reflect on our past, and to explore the opportunities of the future.

See you in July!
