ICMA 2016 Conference Call for Session Ideas & Keynote Speakers
The 101st ICMA Annual Conference in Seattle was a success, with more than 3,800 members, speakers, and guests coming together
for this year's event. As 2015 wraps up, it is already time to start planning for the 2016 ICMA Conference in Kansas City,
September 25 - 28.
Phoenix Assistant City Manager Milton Dohoney is serving on the ICMA Conference Planning Committee.
The Planning Committee will meet in November to frame up themes and learning tracks and select four keynote speakers. If you
have any suggestions for keynote speakers you would like to see at ICMA,
please send a brief description of your suggested speaker or a particular topic you would like discussed to Milton
by November 16.
ICMA Local Government Service Awards
ICMA Local Government Service Awards recognize and celebrate members' dedication to public service and professional management at
the local level. Awards are granted at 10 years and 20 years of local government service. After 20 years, awards are given in
ICMA 2015 Leaders in Performance Management
The following local governments are recipients of the 2015 Certificates in Performance Management from the certificates, awarded
annually, recognize performance management programs, encourage comparative analysis, and reward transparency. They are based on
established criteria and are awarded at three levels-Achievement, Distinction, and Excellence (the highest level).

ICMA Fund for Professional Management
The ICMA Fund for Professional Management supports grassroots, citizen-based efforts in cities, towns, and counties interested in
creating or sustaining professional management positions.
ICMA's Fund actively supports adoption and retention of the council-management form of government, recognized as the structure
most conducive to the efficient, effective, and ethical management of local communities.
